I'm an old, retired Cyber Security Chief; retired too long ago to be competent and know it.
I'm still enjoying (home use) learning and playing with Linux (and other Nixs) though.
I just learned (no, I am not too old to learn) how to set up a (free) Proxmox Hypervisor (on an old, obsolete 4gb RAM, 4-core laptop) and am running various Linux (and others, i.e. FreeBSD) VMs and Containers on it (one at a time).
As long as I don't try to use GUIs, (GUIs all work, but lag, I now use command line only) they are blazing fast even though only 2GB RAM & 2 cores assigned to each (I normally use only 1 vm or container at a time). I like doing this because (1) I've never played with Hypervisors before and (2) I can have as many Linux/Nix VMs and containers as I want. I'm having a riot!
I have found answers to many of my challenges on Askubuntu. Thanks everyone.
