Perinthalmanna , or Perintalmanna, is in Malappuram District, in the Malabar region in Kerala, India. Perintalmanna is known as the hospital city of Kerala.


Understand

Perinthalmanna is the former capital of Valluvanad kingdom. The word 'Perin Thallu' means 'big fight' in Malayalam language which is spoken by almost everyone here. Tamil and English are also understood to a certain extent.

By bus

Perinthalmanna is accessible by bus from Coimbatore, Palakkad and Kozhikode.

By rail

Slow trains are also available from Shornur. Get down at Angadippuram Railway Station.

By plane

The nearest airport is Calicut International Airport at Kondotti.
