Museum Island

The Museum Island (German: Museuminsel) is the name of the half of an island in Berlin, near the river Spree. It houses several significant museums. These museums are the Altes Museum, the Neues Museum, the Alte Nationalgalerie, the Bode Museum, the Pergamon Museum and the Humbolt Forum (which is being build).

The island was adapted to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1999.
